 I learned that there was a lot more to building a research study. I never knew the complexities of research proposals nor that there were so many methods that could be applied to them. The biggest thing was the existence of ANOVA, I never knew that there was a dedicated, free, resource that any researcher could utilize to quantitatively measure data. I also found it entertaining that there are research proposals could be developed in a way that would portray its results in an unrealistic way.

I don't think that there will be many opportunities where I will be writing a research proposal, but I do think that there may be times where I will have to propose a usability test, especially if I keep working within the realm of web development. Otherwise, I will have a good understanding of how to properly read research articles and best understand if its conclusion is sound or not.
